GCSE

The youngest cohort of students at the college, follow a two year GCSE programme from year 10. We offer an unusually wide range of subjects for GCSE courses at this level and in addition to the core subjects students may choose from options such as Business Studies, ICT, History, Geography, Art and Design and many others. The level of personal attention for students on our GCSE programmes is naturally high and our specialist head of GCSE acts a vital conduit between parents and staff. Students of compulsory school age are required to attend the college from 9am until 4pm each day and take part in regular sporting and PHSE classes.

A number of students however join us for one year of GCSE study. This is a programme where all of the material of year 10 and 11 is covered through a single academic year. With our retake GCSE courses, we are able to cater for students who may need to boost GCSE grades, as well as those moving into the British system or changing school. Again our monitoring of students on these programmes is rigorous and students again sit regular fortnightly mock examinations as part of their studies. As a GCSE student you will:
