OPEN EVENING

Thursday 3^rd May 2012

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Chelsea Independent College is holding an Open Evening on Thursday 3^rd May 2012 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm, and would like to extend a very warm invitation to you to come and join us. The Principal, Paul Fear, and a number of teaching staff will also be available to talk to you about the subjects we teach. Students will be conducting tours of the College, and will also be very happy to answer any questions you may have about what it is like to study with us.

SPORT RELIEF. Teachers vs. Students Football Match

Come along on Friday 23rd March at 4pm to watch the student football team be humiliated as they play against the staff to raise money for Sport Relief.

Tickets are priced at £2 and there will be a CIC cafe on site.

All the money raised from tickets will go to poverty projects in the UK and in developing countries. Please help the college support the fight against poverty!

The student council will be running the cafe, selling drinks and snacks, which will help to raise funds for the end of term graduation party!

Queen Mary University Lecture date: Monday 30th April at 1pm

An outreach officer, Elena di Mascio, from Queen Mary, University of London is coming in to CIC.

This will be on Monday 30th March at 1pm.

She will give a talk on what Engineering is, what it is like to study at university, and what you need to thing about when choosing a course.

University of Essex Lecture date: Thursday 8th March at 2pm

A student recruitment officer, Cara Dolmor, from the University of Essex is coming into CIC.

This will be on Thursday 8th March at 2pm.

She will be giving a talk on applying to the university and what admissions staff look for in the application and personal statement. It will be helpful in choosing a university and course.

City University Lecture date: Wednesday 21st March at 3pm

A member of the School of Mathematics and Engineering will be coming into CIC to give a talk on life at City University.

The lecture is scheduled for 3pm on Wednesday 21st of March.

University of Bath Lecture date: Thursday 15th March at 2pm

An economics lecturer, Dr Cathy Winnett, from The University of Bath is coming into CIC.

This will be on Thursday 15th of March at 2pm. She will discuss studying economics at Bath, the admissions process, and student life at the University.
