The Chelsea College Medical Sciences programme is specifically tailored for those students wishing to enter some of the most demanding courses at university. Those students applying for Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and related disciplines become members of the programme. We provide specific coaching on interview technique coupled with extensive UCAS advice on areas such as work experience.
The Principal heads the programme and has some 15 years experience of placing students in these competitive disciplines. We give advice through all aspects including specific preparation for the entrance tests now being used by all British medical, veterinary and dental schools. This includes specific preparation in areas such as critical thinking, which is vital for examinations such as the BMAT and UKCAT.
To gain additional knowledge a wide range of admissions tutors and others from various medical fields also visit the college to provide specific advice and guidance. The aim is to provide students with a realistic appraisal of the challenges they will face in these competitive fields. We also provide students with work experience in their chosen field and in addition ensure students undergo at least two mock interviews before attending the real thing.
We aim to help create well-rounded individuals who will become the medical specialists of tomorrow.
