Admissions Policy
Chelsea Independent College seeks bright, motivated, and curious students who possess imagination, energy, a concern for others, and a commitment to academic and personal growth. The College receives many more applications from prospective students than there are places available.
Personal interviews and, where appropriate, entrance examinations are used to assess the promise of each individual applicant and to determine which students will gain the most from and contribute to all that Chelsea Independent College has to offer.
We actively seek a student body that is diverse and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Differences in educational opportunities and individual circumstances are valued and taken into consideration in the decision process.
Students are generally asked that they achieve a minimum entry requirement of 5 GCSE grades A-C (including Mathematics and English). Admission in to Chelsea Independent College is also based on having an informal interview. Please contact us via the contact and location page and arrange a convenient date with the Principal, Mr Paul Hunt to discuss career aspirations and how Chelsea Independent College can assist you.
Admission to the College of a student is conditional upon the acceptance by parents of the “Terms and Conditions of Enrolment”, which are contained in the College’s Application Form. Parents are required to read these carefully. The terms and Conditions of Enrolment bind parents and student to the College Rules which are contained in both the Student Handbook and the Handbook for Parents.
Once the College receives an application for admission, the College will write to the head teacher of the applicant’s present or most recent school to request an academic report. Information provided in this report will be considered as part of the selection process.
