Personal Attention
When it comes to success we believe that the close monitoring of students is a vital component. As such all students are assigned a personal tutor who act as the first point of contact when difficulties arise.
The role of the personal tutor is to oversee the academic progress of each student as well as simply being a shoulder to lean on when required.
The personal tutor also acts as a focal point in the relationship between the college and parent and is always available to discuss each student’s progress both informally and through formal review meetings.
The feel at Chelsea is a small friendly environment where all students are able to develop both academically and personally. We believe that each and every student should be treated as an individual and all of curriculum planning and policy is designed to reflect this.
There are no formal barriers encountered in many schools and colleges, and we encourage each and every student to be a regular questioner. At Chelsea you will:
- Be treated as an individual by all staff
- Have your progress through the college monitored at all stages
- Form strong personal bonds with all of your teaching staff
- Meet regularly with your personal tutor to discuss progress and receive feedback
- Have a solid support structure behind you based on mutual trust and respect
- Receive strong support in your UCAS application and university choices
